YOKA, Evangeline, 93, formerly of Bridgeport, Ohio, died Friday September 16, 2011 at Countryview Assisted Living, Lore City, Ohio. She was born in Wolfhurst, Ohio on December 15, 1917, a daughter of the late Stanislaus and Katie (Romanoski) Hoff Yoka. She was a retired employee of Wheeling Pottery and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wolfhurst. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death a sister: Stella Malarski; brothers: Bruno and Chester Yoka; and a nephew, Richard Yoka. Evangeline is survived by nieces: Pam (Richard) Bevington of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Nancy Yoka Gerrety of Advance, NC; a nephew Wayne Yoka of Jacobsburg, Ohio; great niece Jessica Gerrety and great nephew Christopher (Aimee) Gerrety, all of NC., and two great-great nieces. Friends will be received 9 until 9:45 a.m. Friday September 23, 2011 at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wolfhurst, with Rev. John Mucha, as celebrant.
