EVELYN AZALLION, 91, of St. Clairsville, formerly a life-long resident of Dillonvale, died Sunday, July 13, 2008 in Wheeling Hospital. She was born February 26, 1917 in Dillonvale, the daughter of the late Joseph Peshek, Jr. and Anna (Martinek) Peshek. Mrs. Azallion was a retired clerical worker and stay at home mom. She had attended West Virginia Wesleyan College and traveled with her husband while he served in the United States Navy. She was Presbyterian by faith and a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Dillonvale. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her soul mate and love of her life, John Carroll Azallion, with whom she was married for 60 years. He passed away April 29, 2002. Mrs. Azallion is survived by her daughters Carol Williams and her husband Jerome of Westerville, and Joanne Verba and her husband Steven of St. Clairsville; a brother Norton Peschek of Dillonvale; a sister Velma McFarland of Mingo Junction; five grandchildren Brad (Nicole) Floor and Jennifer (Matt) DeMattis both of Westerville and Carrie, Laurie and Stephanie Verba all of St. Clairsville; as well as a great granddaughter Kendall Floor of Westerville. Friends are invited to attend visitation Tuesday 6 - 9 pm and Wednesday from 1 pm until the time of the funeral services at 3:30 pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second St., Dillonvale, with Reverend Laurie Armstrong officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
