Evelyn M. (Bishop) Guthrie, 83, of Sunrise Dr., Bridgeport, OH died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, OH. She was born Feb. 22, 1930 in Neff, OH, a daughter of the late Herbert and Ann (Kluski) Bishop. She was a loving Mother and Grandmother, and a Catholic by faith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Donald P. Guthrie, son, Brian K. Guthrie, two brothers; Harold and Herbert Bishop, and great grandchild Isaiah. Surviving are four sons; Donald P. (Donna) Guthrie, Jr. of Colerain, OH, David (Glenda) Guthrie of Bellaire, OH, Mark Guthrie of Sunsites, AZ, and Glen (Barbara) Guthrie of Bridgeport, daughter Susan Andears of St. Clairsville, OH, brother Earl (Janet) Bishop of Glencoe, OH, sister Shirley (Dr. Robert) Caldwell of Shadyside, OH, sister-in-law Helen Bishop of St. Clairsville, OH, nine grandchildren, Maryann Greer, David, Ryan and Justin Guthrie, Kelly and Donnie Guthrie, Katie and Aneliese Guthrie and Tatiana Brunson,and 13 great grandchildren. Friends will be received Sunday 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Monday, Jan. 27, 2014 at 11:00 am with Pastor Kevin Rowland officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
