Evelyn M. "Evie" Cochran 89 of Martins Ferry passed away Sunday December 26, 2021, at East Ohio Regional Hospital Martins Ferry. She was born February 1, 1932, in martins Ferry, a daughter of the late John C. and Mildred (Scheehle) Cochran.

She was a retired Veterinarian Technician for the former Dr. F.L. Rogers in Cadiz, a member of Scotch Ridge Presbyterian Church where she was treasurer for over 20 years. Evie was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School Class of 1949. She loved to garden and the Ohio State Buckeyes.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Jean Julian, and her brothers-in-laws Victor Julian, and John Hyett.

Evie is survived by her loving sister Mildred "Milly" Hyett of Barnesville, 2 nephews Rick Julian, and Scott (Dodie) Julian, a niece Vickie (Rick) Moore, also several great nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home Heslop Chapel 415 Walnut Street Martins Ferry on Friday December 31, 2021, from 11 am till time of service at 1 pm. Interment service to follow at The Funeral Home. Private interment will be at Scotch Ridge Cemetery Martins Ferry. In lieu of flower memorial contributions may be made to the Alexander Cemetery 55101 Deep Run Road Martins Ferry, Oh 43935, Attention Jean Merriman.
