Evelyn L. Grimes, 88, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Cumberland Pointe Care Center. She was born June 10, 1926 in Flushing, Ohio, daughter of the late Delbert Douglass and Glenna Gilbert Douglass. She was a faithful member of the Flushing United Methodist Church. A devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she gave unselfishly to her family. She had a passion for the art of embroidery. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore R. Grimes and infant brother, Alfred Douglass. Evelyn is survived by her children, Kathy (Chip) Wallace of Bethesda, Ohio, Ted Grimes of Flushing, Ohio, Rick Grimes and Micah Grimes both of Uniontown, Ohio; grandchildren, Mike (Kristen) Wallace, Kris (Ray) Campbell, Rich Grimes, Ryan (Tiffany) Grimes; great-grandchildren, Jessica (Emel) Vujnovic, Allison Campbell, Rachel Campbell, Kaitlen Wallace, Melanie Grimes; great-great-grandson, Emel Ray Vujnovic; sister, Betty Barylak of Kinde, Michigan; brother, Dennis (Bobbie) Douglass of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; sister-in-law, Nancy Grimes of Uniontown, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. Honoring Evelyn's wishes, a private service will be conducted at the convenience of her family, with Pastor David Powell officiating. Interment will take place at Crabapple Cemetery, Flushing, Ohio.
