Evelyn M. (Hoge) Harmon, 88, of Beverly, OH, formerly of Crescent, OH, died Wednesday, Mar. 25, 2009 at Marietta Memorial Hospital, Marietta, OH. She was born Apr. 19, 1920 in Martins Ferry, OH a daughter of the late Bertrum Hoge and Mary (Mills) Cooper. She was former owner/operator of Harmon's Bait & Tackle Shop of Beverly. Evelyn was a member of the Church of Christ, Eagles Auxiliary, and American Legion Auxiliary of Beverly and the V.F.W. Auxiliary of Marietta. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Edward A. Harmon, her son Kenneth Richmond, a brother John Hoge, and two sisters Dorothy Cook and Margaret Albrecht. Surviving are four sons Albert (Maryann) Richmond of Colerain, OH, Gerald (Linda) Richmond of W. Harwich, MA, Randolph (Carol) Richmond of Martins Ferry, and Larry Harmon of Dorham, NC, three sisters Ruth Ann Markus of Pleasant Grove, OH, Marian (George) Koller and Doris Jean (Ed) Watkins both of Martins Ferry, eleven grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. Friends will be received Sunday 12-3 and 6-8 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Monday, Mar. 30, 2009 at 11:00 am with Pastor John L.
