Evelyn Marie Jackson, 92 of Bridgeport, died Saturday November 1, 2014 at Park Health Center St, Clairsville. She was born May 5, 1922 in Martins Ferry, a daughter of the late Jacob Jr. and Marie (Guegold) Vossen. She was a retired secretary for the former Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Wheeling office, a life member of St. John's Lutheran Church Martins Ferry, and the Keenagers. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Richard A. Jackson, a son Richard "Dickie" Jackson, three Sisters; Marie Winland, Shirley Jackson, and Carmela Gaffney, and a grandson David Richard Bishop. Evelyn is survived by her daughter Maureen Bishop of Bridgeport, a brother John (Mary Frances) Vossen III of Monroeville, Pa, and a sister Marcella Ashton of Martins Ferry, four grandchildren Fraya (Matt) Gerevics, Richard (Andrea) Bishop, and Corey (Tammy) Jackson, and Christopher (Angel) Jackson, nine great grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside on Thursday November 6, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Services will be held on Friday November 7, 2014 at 11 am at St. John's Lutheran Church Martins Ferry, with Rev. Philip Van Dam officiating, interment in Linwood Cemetery Blaine.
