Evelyn Marie Kulhawik, 90 of Pickerington, formerly of Dillonvale, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2019 in the Pickerington Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  She was born on February 3, 1929 in Rayland a daughter of the late Joseph and Ruth (Chambers) Karkoska.  She was a proud alumnus of the class of 1947 at Dillonvale High School.  Evelyn was a strong-willed woman, who let you know what she thought.  She enjoyed many things but special to her was cooking and baking.  The Holidays were always the best because of the numerous baked goods she made, all done with true love and pride.  She passed down numerous recipes to many people she knew.  She also enjoyed working as a cook at St. Adalbert's School in Dillonvale for many years and baking and cooking for many weddings, festivals and special occasions in the Dillonvale area.

She is survived by her son, Craig (Raeann) Childers; sons-in-law, Ron Foote and Tim Taylor; nephew, Brad Childers; grandchildren, Denise (Jason) Mitchell, Amber Childers and Justin Childers and two great grandchildren, Madison and Landon Mitchell.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 45 years, William Kulhawik, who passed in 1993; two daughters, Martie Foote and Cynde Taylor; a sister, Shirley and two brothers, John and Willard Karkoska.

Friends may call Wednesday from 4-7 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second St., Dillonvale.  Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 am in the Funeral Home with Msgr. John Kolesar officiating.  Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant.
