Evelyn L. (Lynch) Davis, 91, of S. 7th St., Martins Ferry, OH died Sun. Oct. 30, 2005 at East Ohio Regional Hospital Long Term Care, Martins Ferry. She was born Feb. 7, 1914 in Gloucester, NJ a daughter of the late John A. and Eva (Addison) Lynch. Evelyn was a member of the First Baptist Church, Martins Ferry, where she taught Sunday School, was a Deaconess and Trustee, a member of the Fidelis Class and the Womens Missionary Society. She was also a member of Penns Grove Chapter # 86, Order of the Eastern Star, Salem, NJ and the former Child Study and Womens Club, both of Martins Ferry She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years Joseph C. "Tete" Davis and a brother Arthur Lynch. Surviving are a daughter Jackie Bednarik and her husband Joseph of Martins Ferry, three brothers Warren Lynch and his wife Anne of Pascagula, MS, Rodman Lynch and his wife Alfreda of Haddon Hts., NJ and John Lynch and his wife Dorothy of Lake Wales, Fl, two granddaughters Becky Roberts and her husband Larry of Weirton, WV and Rachael Kerns and her husband Rich of Marion, OH and six great grandchildren Hope, Joseph, Chancey, Bethany, Zoe and Ellery Friends will be received Tues., 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Wed., Nov. 2, 2005 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Joseph Sanders officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH. Eastern Star Services will be held Tues., at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church Food and Fellowship Fund, 306 Locust St., Martins Ferry, OH 43935.
