Evelyn J. "Mickey" (Maguire) Meigh, 74, of Colerain, OH died Monday, Dec. 21, 2009 at Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling, WV. She was born Mar. 3, 1935 in Martins Ferry a daughter of the late Nelson R. "Art" Maguire and Thelma L. (Williams) Maguire Burns. She was retired from the Administrative Offices of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, was a member of the First U. Methodist Church of Martins Ferry, and a 15 year cancer survivor which led to her support of the Relay for Life of Ohio County. Mickey was a very loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. She enjoyed reading, sewing, fishing, and spending time with her family. Surviving are her husband Richard T. "Dick" Meigh, two daughters Cynthia (Roger) Partridge of Berlin, MD and Cathy Meigh of Colerain, a son Stephen (Lynn) Meigh of Avon Lake, OH, a brother Bruce (Jean) Maguire of Martins Ferry, a sister Delores Sauders of Bellaire, three grandchildren Melissa (Joe) Simpson, Shaun (Arika) Meigh, and Samantha (Fiancé Brandon) Meigh, three great grandchildren Caitlyn Simpson and Alyiva and Hannah Meigh, sister-in-law Bonnie Finney of Martins Ferry, brother-in-law Bob Meigh of Glen Dale, WV, special friends Vicky and Jim Fox of St. Clairsville, OH, her beloved dog Holly. Family and friends will be received Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Thursday, Dec. 24, 2009 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Van D. Fisher officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to Relay for Life, Ohio Co. Chap.
