Evelyn V. Holovacs, 94, formerly of Pattons Run, Martins Ferry, OH died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013 at County Club Retirement Center, Bellaire, OH. She was born Aug. 22, 1918 in Martins Ferry a daughter of the late Frank H. Sr., and Maude (Howell) Neavin. She was a retired from East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. Evelyn was a member of the United Methodist Church, Tiltonsville, OH and the Ladies V.F.W. Auxiliary, Yorkville, OH. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Andrew J. Holovacs. Surviving are two daughters; Linda Waleisky and Barbara (Gary) Armitage both of Martins Ferry, two sisters; Marge Hicks of Mt. Pleasant, OH and Joanne Chipman of Vandalia, OH, five grandchildren; Laura, Marilyn and Katelyn Armitage, and Jack and Mike Haught and one great grandchild. Friends will be received at the Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013 from 10:00 am until time of service at noon with Rev. Thomas N. Thomas officiating.
