Evelyn Fay Hartung 95, of Bridgeport passed away Wednesday May 19, 2021 at Forest Hills Care Center St. Clairsville. She was born April 28, 1926 in Martins Ferry, a daughter of the late Ebert and Rosaltha (Donley) Schwender. She was a devoted housewife, a member of the 1st Church of Christ in St. Clairsville, also a member of SOAR. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Elmer W. Hartung in 1989, her brothers Edwin, Harold, Arthur, and Eugene Schwender, her sisters Ruth Doughty, Grace Lannum, and her twin sister Eleanor Bise, also a grandson Shane McMasters. Evelyn is survived by her sons William (R.Merry) Hartung of Bridgeport, John L. (Kelli) Hartung of Springfield, OH, and Ernest (Nettie) Hartung of Neff's, 7 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren, also many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside on Sunday May 23, 2021 from 4-8 pm, where services will be held on Monday at 1:30 pm, interment in Holly Memorial Gardens Pleasant Grove.
