Everett A. Schramm 89, of Bridgeport passed away Thursday April 6, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 13, 1934, in Bellaire, a son of the late John and Florence (Greenwood) Schramm.
He retired from local #83 Plumbers and Steamfitters. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church Bridgeport, a Veteran of the Korean War in the US Air Force, a member of the Knights of Columbus #1246 Bellaire, and a huge Pittsburgh Steeler Fan. Everett coached grade school football in the early 60's, he was a member of St. Joseph School Board, a member of St. John's Athletic Board, and a member of Bridgeport Water Board.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 children Linda Schramm, Steven Schramm, and Donald Schramm, a son-in-law Stephen Kosky, also 6 Brothers and 6 Sisters.
Everett was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, and a friend to everyone.
He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years Kay (Poole) Schramm, his children David (Mary Ellen) Schramm of Glenco, Karen (Neil) Cash of Bellaire, and Kristy Kosky of Freeport, a sister Nancy Biehl of Martins Ferry, 11 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside on Monday April 10, 2023, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, with wake service to be recited at 2 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 am at St. Anthony Catholic Church Bridgeport, with Fr. John Mucha as celebrant, interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery Bellaire. Full Military services will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday at 9:15 am. Everyone please wear your Steeler Apparel to visitation and the funeral in honor of Everett.
