Fera L. Dawson, 96, of Barnesville, Ohio, died Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at Walton Retirement Home. She was born April 20, 1918 in Temperanceville, Ohio, daughter of the late Allen Price and Trissie J. Swallie Price. She was a member of East Main Street Church of Christ. She was very family oriented, including her extended family at the church. She enjoyed laughter and a good sense of humor, and had a great passion for cooking. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Monford L. Lucas; second husband, W. Arnol Dawson; daughter, Patricia Jane Ford; eight brothers and sisters; and twin sister, Vera L. McMullen. Fera is survived by her children, Gary L (Joyce) Lucas of Norwich, Ohio, Randy J. (Pat) Lucas of Columbus, Ohio, Joe Dawson, Susan (Steve) Fox both of Charleston, West Virginia, Ron T. (Judy) Ford of Lakeland, Florida; nine grandchildren, Renee (Ted) Wheeler, Patrick (Sandy) Ford, Kristi J. (Jim) Flaherty, Julie K. (Gary) Frame, Calina (Jay) Bolyard, Colin Lucas, Aubrey (Kameron) Sauers, Todd Dawson, Tim Dawson; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and special friend, Joyce Elerick. Family and friends may visit, Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. until the time of service, beginning at 2 p.m., Kelly Kemp Braido & Patron Funeral Home & Crematory, 702 E. Main Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Val Roxby and Jamie Helmick officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Cemetery, Barnesville, Ohio.
