Florence A. (Kemo) Schafer, 86, of Oakbridge Dr., Hurricane, WV, formerly of N. Zane Hwy., Martins Ferry, OH died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008 at Thomas Memorial Hospital, Charleston, WV. She was born Aug. 15, 1921 in Martins Ferry the daughter of the late Farmeno and Mary (Sabatino) Kemo. She was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church of Martins Ferry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Harry F. Schafer, Jr. and a brother Vince Kemo. Surviving are two daughters Janice "Jan" Lewis and her husband Denny of La Quinta, CA and Cheryl C. Schafer of Hurricane, WV. Family and friends will be received Friday 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Saturday, Mar. 1, 2008 at 9:30 am at St. Marys Catholic Church, Martins Ferry with Rev. Thomas A. Magary officiating. Entombment follows in St. Marys Cemetery Mausoleum, Martins Ferry. Rosary devotions will be recited Friday at 3:00 pm followed by Wake services at 7:30 pm both in the funeral home.
