Obituary

Floyd A. Beavon, 83, of N. 7th St., Martins Ferry, OH died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2006 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. He was born Feb. 9, 1923 in Martins Ferry a son of the late John and Josephine (Bowman) Beavon. He retired from the former Picoma Industries of Martins Ferry. Floyd was a member of the New Life U. Methodist Church formerly the Thompson U. Methodist Church of Wheeling, WV, Martins Ferry Elks Lodge #895, and a veteran of the U. S. Army WWII. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Orville and Harold Beavon. Surviving are his wife of 56 ½ years Margaret (Huffman) Beavon, a daughter Cammy (Mark) DelGuzzo of Martins Ferry, two loving granddaughters Carlie & Cirstie DelGuzzo, and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Friday, Dec. 1, 2006 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Dr. Douglas Liston officiating. Burial follows in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling. Elks services will be held Thursday at 7 PM in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Life U. Methodist Church, 115 S. Broadway St., Wheeling, WV 26003. Condolences to the family may be made by signing the guest book at the top of this page.
