Frances R. Cerola, a lifelong resident of Martins Ferry, OH passed away Thursday, October 30, 2008. She was born in Wheeling, WV a daughter of the late Antonio "Anthony" and Josephine (Muni) Cerola. She was retired from the corporate office of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel and prior to that she worked at W.A. Wilson and Co. of Wheeling. Frances was a life-long member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Madonna Crusaders, and the Catholic Woman's Club all of Martins Ferry. She was also involved for many years with the Martins Ferry Hospital Twig. Frances was a graduate of Martins Ferry High School and the Elliot School of Business. Frances will be remembered for her long-time involvement as Secretary of the Martins Ferry High School Alumni Association. Surviving are her sister Virginia L. Kendall and husband Dr. William R. Kendall of Houston, TX, her brother Jay and wife Georgianna of Delray Beach, FL and her loving niece and nephews. Friends will be received on Tue., Nov. 11, 2008 from 7-9 pm at Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Wed., Nov. 12, 2008 at St. Mary's Catholic Church at 10:00 am with Fr. Thomas A. Magary officiating. Interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling, at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church.
