Frances H. Moke, 88, of Wayne Hayes Towers, Martins Ferry, OH, formerly of Howard St., Bridgeport, OH went to be with the Lord Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. She was born Jan. 29, 1919 in Adena, OH a daughter of the late Lewis Moke and Frances H. (Todd) Moke Jackson. She retired as head cashier after 40 years of service with the former Stone & Thomas Dept. Store. Frances was a member of the First U. Methodist Church and Chapter #452 Order of Eastern Star both of Bridgeport, a 62 yr. life member of the Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem of Wheeling, and a 52 yr. member of the Oriental Shrine of North America. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her step-father Walker Jackson, three brothers Herbert, Lloyd, and William Moke, and two sisters Bernice McDonald and Doris Gretsnzer. Surviving are a brother Clarence Moke of Crown Point, IN and a special friend Bob Friend of Martins Ferry. Friends will be received Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007 from 10 AM until time of services at 11:00 AM with Rev. Rick Dawson officiating at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH. Burial follows in Union Cemetery, Uhrichsville, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
