Frances M. Helsley Frances M. (Payne) Helsley, 100, of Colerain, OH, died Sat., Dec. 6, 2003 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry, OH. She was born May 2, 1903 in Martins Ferry, OH a daughter to the late John W. and Winona L. (Mitchell) Payne. She was a member of the Colerain Presbyterian Church where she was active with the Friendly Circle Class. Frances was also a member of Bridgeport Chapter #452 Order of Eastern Star and the Belmont Co. Homemakers. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Harry L. Helsley, Dec. 1, 1973 and a half-sister Mina Brokaw. Surviving are a son Richard (Dorothy) Helsley of Wintersville, a daughter Alta (James H.) Boyles of Colerain, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Friends will be received Mon. 5-9 PM and Tue. 1 PM until time of services at 2:00 PM when Mr. William Winter will officiate at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH. Burial follows in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry. Memorial contributions may be made to the House of the Carpenter, 200 S. Front St., Wheeling, WV 26003.
