Obituary

Francis T. Hart, 91, of Belmont, Ohio, died, Saturday, September 05, 2015 at Ohio Valley Medical Center. He was born in Belmont, Ohio on August 23, 1924, son of the late Staley W. Hart and Laura Patterson Hart. A lifetime member of the Concord Presbyterian Church in Centerville, Francis was a 50 plus year member of the Belmont American Legion, a 60 year member of Weyer F & AM Lodge of Centerville, a member of the Weyer Chapter Order of the Easter Star of Centerville, and the Scottish Rites Valley of Cambridge. He served on the Belmont County Farm Bureau, was a Belmont County 4-H Advisor for 40 years, served on the Belmont County Agricultural Society for 35 years, worked as a livestock dealer, and retired from Smith Township Trustees, where he had worked as an equipment operator. Francis proudly served his country in the United States Army, serving in Germany from 1944 to 1945. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. A devout Christian, he has spent a lifetime working with young people through 4-H, Christian Endeavor, Farm Bureau Youth, and shared his experience as an International Farm Youth Exchange student in 1954 in Belgium. He shared his love of life and love for the Lord with all those he came in contact with, sharing all the love in his heart with a big smile on his face. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Lela Mae Green and sister-in-law, Helene Hart. Francis is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ruth Pryor Hart; children, Hope (Kirk) Fry of South Euclid, Ohio, John Hart of Columbus, Ohio, Faith (Greg) Ehrle of Shiocton Wisconsin, Joseph (Paige) Hart of Belmont, Ohio; grandchildren, Beth and Colin Fry, Hayden and Haley Ehrle, Graham and Garrett Hart; brother, Gerald Hart and sister, Barbara Hart both of Phoenix Arizona; brothers-in-law, Austin Green, K. Richard Pryor, James W. Pryor; sisters-in-law, Vivian Pryor Anderson, Helen Pryor Toohey; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends are welcome to visit, Tuesday from 4-8 p.m., Kelly Kemp Braido Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory, 322 N. Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio, where the service will be conducted, Wednesday 11a.m. Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery, Centerville, Ohio. A Masonic Service will be conducted, Tuesday 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Concord Presbyterian Church.
