Obituary

Frank ""Vic"" Jasper, 82, of Dillonvale, died Wednesday January 14, 2009 at East Ohio Regional Hospital. He was born January 12, 1927 the son of the late Frank and Bessie Daugherty Jasper. He was a retired coal miner, a Veteran of the US Army during the Korean Conflict, a member of the UMWA, Friends Church of Mt. Pleasant, American Legion Post 525 of Adena, and Better Breathers of EORH. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Victor ""Butch"" Jasper; a Grandson Jeremy ""Pete"" Jasper, two brothers and three sisters. Vic is survived by his wife Thelma O. Jasper, a son Rick Jasper and his wife Betty Ann of Harrisville, two daughters; Vicki Vargo and her husband Barry of Smithfield, Annalisa Hixson and her husband Todd of Cadiz, six grandchildren; Barry Jr. and Stevan Vargo, Ricky, Nicole, Kristyn and Kaitlyn Jasper, a Brother-in-Law Brady Conner, and a Sister-in-Law Betty Jasper. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Wilson Funeral Home 154 Second Street, Dillonvale, Ohio where services will be held on Monday at 11:00 am with Pastor James Ogden offic iating. Interment will follow at Short Creek Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant. Full military services will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday by the Adena American Legion Post 525.
