Obituary

Frank Rose Sr., 91, of Dillonvale, Ohio, passed Tuesday August 12, 2014 at Acuity Specialty Hospital, Steubenville. He was born in Dillonvale on October 22, 1922, a son of the late Antimo and Aligretta Rose. Frank was a retired Railroad employee, a member of St. Adalbert Catholic Church, a U.S. Navy WWII veteran and a member of the Dillonvale American Legion, McCook Post 529. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Alice M. Rose on December 26, 2012; brothers; Andrew, George and Victor Rose, and a sister Louise Casshie. Frank is survived by two sons: Frank A. (Janie) Rose Jr. of Toronto, Ohio, Ricky A. (Marilyn) Rose of Boynton Beach, Fla.; grandchildren: Amanda (Brett) Spicer, Allison Rose, step granddaughter Karen; and a great-granddaughter: Madeline. Friends will be received Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second Street, Dillonvale, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10:00 a.m. with Msgr. John C. Kolesar as celebrant. Military Honors provided by the Dillonvale American Legion, McCook Post #529 at Holly Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
