Franklin "Sonny" O. Conaway, 90, of Shadyside, OH died July 28, 2019 at Shadyside Health Care Center.  He was born February 18, 1929, a son of the late Frank and Martha (Blake) Conaway.

Frank was a retired Mechanic for West Virginia-Ohio Motor Sales,was a U.S. Army Veteran who served in the Korean War, and was a member of Riverview Bible Church.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by a daughter, Stacy Benda, a brother, Kenny Conaway, and an infant sister, Juanita Conaway.

Frank is survived by his wife, Frances (Rhodes) Conaway; children, Jerry (Pat) Conaway of Shadyside, Joyce (Tom) Butler of Polk City, FL, Michele Staskey of Neffs; son-in-law, John Benda of Shadyside; Siblings, Mildred Oberdick of Bellaire, Jackie Gretzinger of St. Clairsville, Richard (Judy) Conaway of Martins Ferry;  grandchildren, Katie, Joshua (Meranda), Breanna, Derrick (Barbara), Michelle, Shelly (Ralph); great-grandchildren, Emma, Allie, Dakota, John, Keshawn, Lamarah, Anayla, Jordyn, Gia, Rocco, and Kalen.

Friends will be received Wednesday, July 31st from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd. Bridgeport, OH 43912 where funeral services will be held Thursday August 1st at 11 a.m. with Pastor Kevin Rowland Officiating.   Interment to follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.  Military honors will be conducted by the Belmont County Veterans Association at the cemetery.
