Franklin D. Schneider, 75, of Woodsfield, Ohio, died Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Ohio Valley Medical Center. He was born February 4, 1938 in Alledonia, Ohio, son of the late Edward M. Schneider and Berta V. Wade Schneider.
In his early years, Franklin spent a great deal of time with his parents. He was a retired truck driver. He had a great love for the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Franklin enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and working on special projects. He enjoyed making people laugh with his great sense of humor.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert E. Schneider and his sister, Edie M. Ruschak.
Franklin is survived by his sisters, Violet Marple of Springfield, Ohio, Wilma (Larry) West of Jerusalem, Ohio, and Mary K. (Bruce) Ady of Cambridge, Ohio; brother, Harold E. (Wilda L.) Schneider of Woodsfield, Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews, and his very special friend, Sandy Weber.
Family and friends are welcome to visit, Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Kelly Kemp Braido & Patron Funeral Home, 702 East Main Street, Barnesville, Ohio where the service will be conducted, Thursday at 1 p.m. Minister Jeff Rich will be officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, Ohio.
