Obituary

Franklin P. Wallace, Jr. 50, of Brewer, ME, died unexpectedly March 27, 2015, at his residence. He was born Feb. 15, 1965 in Wheeling, WV, the son of Franklin P. Wallace, Sr. and the late Sarah L. (Kemna) Wallace. Franklin "Wally" served 20 years with the US Army retiring as a Sergeant First Class in 2006. He worked as a military police officer and recruiter. While living in Dexter, ME, Franklin worked as a firefighter with the Dexter Fire Dept. Most recently, he was an armed guard with Loomis, worked for Oxus Environmental, and for EBS in Ellsworth, ME. Wally was a kind and caring man. He loved his wife, his children, and his grandchildren. The happiest moments of his life were spent in their company. With his wife/soul mate, he shared the love of gardening, decorating cakes, and finding humor and joy in all life had to offer. Wally strove to learn and master the things he was passionate about at that time in his life. Wally spent time with his son, coaching football and wrestling. He also enjoyed watching his daughters participate in cheerleading. From his stepson Eddie, Wally discovered a love of working on cars, plumbing, and construction projects. He saw the good in everyone he met and with a continuous and unfailingly positive attitude, plus a contagious laugh, those he met found themselves sharing his attitude towards life. He was truly a good man. Surviving are his wife, Donna M. Wallace, his three children; Ashley (Brian) O'Connor of Garland and Tamara and Daniel Wallace both of Dexter; his father, Franklin (Patricia) Wallace Sr. of Martins Ferry, OH, five stepchildren whom he considered his own, Melissa, Edward and Eric Warman, Howard Stone II, and Richard Stone; 8 grandchildren: Brody, Domanik, Brooklyn, Emily, Lillian, Hayleigh, Madisyn and Haden; two sisters; Phyllis Wallace and Paula Conrad and step sister, Terri Miller. Funeral services were held at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 69 State St., Brewer, ME. Condolences to the family may be made by signing the guest book below.
