Fred E. Asbury, 65, of Bridgeport, died Saturday June 5, 2010 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. He was born March 13, 1945 in Cunard, WV, the son Edgar and Rosezell (Swallie) Forren. Fred was a US ARMY veteran serving in the Vietnam Conflict and was awarded the Bronze Star, a retired employee of Ohio Valley Coal, and a member of the Bridgeport Forresters and the SNPJ Lodge.Fred was preceded in death by his father Edgar Millard Forren. Surviving are his wife Pamela Jane (Bommer) Asbury; his mother Rosezell Swallie; three daughters, Candy Stanley and her fiancée Joseph Palmer of Bridgeport, Nancy Asbury and her boyfriend Philip Powell of St. Clairsville, Heather Brown and her husband Brian of Wintersville; two brothers, John Bess and his wife Donna of Shadyside, Charles Bess of Charleston, SC; a sister Delores "Dean" Murray and her husband Michael of Bridgeport; eight grandchildren, Aiden Brown, Taji Hall, Troy, Tyler and TaNia Powell, Tamera, Taz, and Tessa Stanley; two great grandchildren, TaAliah Stanley and Chad Coulson Jr.; several Nieces and Nephews, Brian, Bradley and Brianne Murray, John Stacey Bess, and Michael Tennant; and a special friend Debra Britt.
