Fred S. Moore, Jr., 77, of Martins Ferry, OH died Wed., Aug. 9, 2006 at East Ohio Regional Hospital of Martins Ferry. He was born Jan. 11, 1929 in Cadiz, OH a son of the late Fred Moore, Sr. and Martha E. (McCue) Moore. He was a retired private contract hauler for Mobay Chemicals and owner/operator of CFM Security Systems of Martins Ferry. Fred was a member of the First Christian Church and American Legion Post # 38 both of Martins Ferry, Eagles Aerie #2264 of Uhrichsville, OH and a veteran of the U.S. Army WW II. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his two sisters Geraldine Montgomery and Dolores Hube. Surviving are his wife of 39 years Connie L. (Huff) Moore, and their precious children Frederic (Janet) Moore of Sumter, SC, Fred Richard (Sandi) Moore of Orlando, FL, Cynthia (Bill) Rhodes of Columbus, OH, Michele (Tim) Russell of Murfreesboro, TN, Melinda (Eric) Hammerquist of Havelock, NC, and Deanna (Jeff) Jamison of Martins Ferry, a step-brother Tom Moore of Cadiz, OH, and fourteen adorable grandchildren Logan, Leah, Samantha, Courtney, Caylan, Cristen, Timmy, Jacob, Megan, Erica, Ethan, Makayla, Collin, and Kyle who were all the "Apple of Pappy's Eye". Friends will be received Fri., 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Sat., Aug. 12, 2006 at 11:00 AM with Minister Rod Kasler officiating.
