Frederick C. ?Fred? Ullom 69, of Bellaire, died Tuesday October 2, 2012 at his home. He was born July 25, 1943 in Bellaire, a son of the late Cyril and Esther (Ringer) Ullom. He was retired from the Bellaire Police Dept. with 25 years of service; also he was retired from the US Army with 39 years, the last 3 as a recruiter. He was a former councilman for the City of Bellaire, a former employee of Bauknecht- Altmeyer Funeral Home Bellaire, and a former employee of WTRF Channel 7 Wheeling, a member of the American Legion Post #52 Bellaire, Fred drove ambulette for Neff's Fire Dept, and he was one of the original organizers of the Bellaire Children's Christmas Party, his most favorite place to go was Myrtle Beach SC. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter Lorinda Johnson Bauer in 2004 and Brothers Bill and Jim Ullom. Fred in survived by his loving wife Linda L. (Frye) Johnson - Ullom, children Carl Bauer of Bradley IL., Christina (Bruce) Yates of Bridgeport, Chad Ullom of Wheeling, Bill (Lisa) Johnson, and Tim (Stacey) Johnson both of Shadyside, and Suzanne Porter of Columbus, a brother Bob (Beverly) Ullom of Shadyside, and a sister Peg (Gene) Mattern of Bridgeport, twenty grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren, also several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to a celebration of Fred's life on Friday October 5, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside. Services will be held on Saturday at 11 am with Rev. Randy Weaver officiating. Interment at the convenience of the family. Full Military services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 10:45 am with the Belmont County Council of the American Legion.
