Freda M. Phillips, 96, of Bellaire, Ohio, died Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Emerald Pointe Nursing and Rehab.  She was born June 24, 1921 in Bellaire, Ohio, daughter of the late William Koher and Della Mellott Koher. Freda proudly served her country as a member of the United States Army during World War II. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Garland F. Phillips and brother, William Koher. Freda is survived by her sons, Keith (Patty) Phillips of Bethesda, Ohio, Todd Phillips of Bellaire, Ohio, and their extended families; brothers, Bernard Koher of Shadyside, Ohio and Fred Koher of Bellaire, Ohio. In keeping with Freda's wish, a Graveside Service will take place at Davis Cemetery at the convenience of her family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Belmont County Animal Shelter, 45244 National Road, West, St. Clairsville, Ohio 43950.
