Frederick W. Applegarth, 90, of Barton, OH, passed away April 7, 2020 at Rolling Hills Retirement Community in Bridgeport.

He was born September 26, 1929, in Barton, OH, a son of the late John and Lura (McCallister) Applegarth.

Fred was a retired truck driver for Abe Sibalski and Sons of St. Clairsville and was a U.S. Army Veteran.  He was a Christian by Faith.

Fred and his wife shared a love for antiques and owned a small antique store, Applegarth's Attic. Fred was known for the beautiful antique trunks that he would refinish and restore by hand. One of his favorite pastimes was fishing.

In addition to his parents, Frederick was preceded in death by his wife, Mariza (Stingl) Applegarth; and children, Mariza "Ciley" Munas, and Robert "Apple" Applegarth.

He is survived by his grandchildren; Christina (Dr. John) Bosi of Lake Harmony, PA, Natalie Munas (Marcus Farr) of Akron, OH, Dr. Amanda (Lance) Fisher of Barnesville, OH, Dylan Applegarth of Martins Ferry; great-grandchildren, Andrew and Luke Bosi, Kierra Farr, Luke and Lydia Fisher; and daughter-in-law, M. Doll Applegarth.

A private service will be held.
