Obituary

Fredrick H. Smith, 73, of St. Clairsville, OH, formerly of Bridgeport, OH, died Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry, OH. He was born October 13, 1943 in Colerain, OH a son of the late Ned Smith, Sr. and Helen (Hall) Smith.
Fred attended the First Christian Church of Martins Ferry. He enjoyed country music and liked anything associated with 18 wheelers.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers; Roscoe and Amos Smith and his sister, Ruth Durbin.
Surviving are his brothers; Ned Smith, Jr. of Colerain, Charles Smith of Calif. and John Smith of Parma, OH, his sisters; Mary Ann Brown of FL and Eleanor Norris of Bridgeport, several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews including Kathy Vensel of Colerain.
Family and friends will be received at Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH, Sunday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where services will be held Monday, November 28, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Minister Rod Kasler officiating. Burial follows in Weeks Cemetery, Bridgeport.
