G. Vernon Gregg, 86, of Belmont, Ohio, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2011, at his home. He was born November 28, 1924 in Belmont, Ohio, son of the late Grover Ross Gregg and Adeline Kemp Gregg. Vernon was retired from Ohio University of St. Clarisville, a lifelong farmer, and a member of Belmont United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sisters, Louise Lewis and Velma Moore; and brothers Harold and Carroll Gregg. Vernon is survived by his wife, Ingeborg Pheil Gregg; daughters, Ruthie (Ernie) Martin and Jennifer (Bruce) Schuster; and son, N. Eric (Brenda) Gregg, all of Belmont, Ohio; grandchildren, April Chambers of Marysville, Jamie Martin of Belmont, Jason Fowler of Bridgeport, Chelsey Gregg of Barnesville, Nate Gregg of Belmont, Chantell Nylund of New Philadelphia,David Morse of Columbus, and Katarina Morse of Bethesda; great-grandchildren, Ryan Smith, Mahala Smith, Myah Martin, Jocelynn McFarland Fowler, Jayden Barker, and Alexia Morse. Family and friends may call, Saturday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Kelly-Kemp-Braido Funeral Home, 322 North Main Street. Bethesda, Ohio, where services will be conducted, Sunday 1 p.m. Reverend Theresa Bobot and Pastor Rodney West will be officiating. Interment will follow at Chestnut Level Cemetery in Belmont, Ohio.
