Gale May Carpenter, 65, of Bethesda, Ohio passed away on June 26, 2025 surrounded by her loving family at Wheeling Hospital.  She was born on May 28, 1960 to the late Thomas W. and Betty E. (Horner) Carpenter.

Gale was a volunteer who liked helping people.  She enjoyed caring for her rose bushes and playing bingo.  She loved rabbits and bears and enjoyed collecting them.  She always liked spending time with family and friends.

Gale is survived by siblings, Carl (Debra) Carpenter of Dillonvale, Linda Carpenter Smith of Belmont, Dale (Dianna) Carpenter of Adena; many nieces, nephews, great-nephews and cousins; and several close friends.

Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 from 2pm – 7pm at the Wilson Funeral Home, Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, Ohio 43935.  The funeral service will be on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at 11am at the funeral home with Rev. Jim Hoff officiating.  Burial will follow at the Weeks Cemetery.
