Gary C. Oblak, 75, of Tiltonsville passed away Thursday May 28, 2020 in Akron with his family by his side. He was born February 26, 1945 in Wheeling a son of Charles J. And Emily (Kovarik) Oblak. He was preceded in death by the love of his life Connie (Moore) Oblak in 2019. They will be reunited in heaven for their 50th anniversary in June. Gary was a retired partner of the Cornerstone Employee Benefit Group in Wheeling. He was a life long member of the Dillonvale Presbyterian Church and a member of Smithfield Blue Lodge #182. Gary spent many years coaching high school sports including acting as the Head Football Coach in Brilliant in 1970-1971. Gary never met a stranger and was almost guaranteed to run into a friend where ever he went. He was a devoted husband and loving dad. He was especially loved by his family who consider him a role model for kindness, generosity and commitment. He will be deeply missed by his son Doug and family Alicia, Olivia and Ben of Tallmadge, Ohio. Also his brother Jeffrey and wife Carolyn of Oakdale, Pennsylvania and many other loving family and friends. Friends will be received at the Wilson funeral home 154 Second Street Dillonvale, Ohio Saturday June 6, 2020 from 2-6 pm. Service to follow at 6pm with Rev. Bill Lawrence officiating.
