Gene "Buck" Kempton 90 of Dillonvale went to be with our Lord on Tuesday April 27, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 31, 1930 in Jacksonville, OH, a son of the late Henry J. and Carmen A. (Mecum) Kempton. He was a retired employee of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Yorkville Plant, and a born-again Christian, also a Veteran in the US Navy in Korea. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Sandra Ann Kempton. Buck is survived by his loving wife of 65nyears Alice (Briggs) Kempton, daughters Joyce Ann (Bob) Adams, and Linda Kay Kempton both of Dillonvale, Jodi Lynn Finney of Deep Run, and Karen Marie Foltz of St. Clairsville, sisters Jo Ann McKee of Orrville, OH, and Diana Rae (Paul) Kourkoubes of Van-Wyke, SC, 8 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home 154 Second St. Dillonvale on Sunday May 2, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, where services will be held on Monday at 11 am with Rev. James Hoff officiating, interment in Holly Memorial Gardens Pleasant Grove. Full military graveside will be conducted by the McCook Post of the American Legion Dillonvale.
