Gene M. Miller, 69, of Martins Ferry, OH, died Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Liza's Place, Wheeling, WV. He was born March 22, 1948 in E. Liverpool, OH a son of the late Shriver E. Crawford and Hazel Agnes (Miller) Marisnick.

Gene retired as a Sgt. from the Belmont County Correctional Institute.

He was a member of Yorkville VFW Post #4811, Moundsville American Legion #3, Bethlehem Veteran's Outreach Center, Moundsville Veteran's Honor Guard and was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Gene M. Miller, Jr.

Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Elaine I. (Fulton) Miller, children; Aaron (Janet) Howard-Miller of Reynoldsburg, OH, Eric G. (Wendy) Miller of St. Clairsville, OH, George Zachary (Stacey) Miller of Martins Ferry, and Ashley (Cory) Hoskinson, of Stewartsville, OH, siblings; Roger and Charlie Davis and grandchildren; Cierra, Chianne, Sydni, Lilli, Ollie, and Nicholas.

Friends will be received Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry where services will be held Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jim Huff officiating.

Military honors will be presented by Moundsville American Legion Post #3 Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
