Genevieve E. "Jenny" (Kutys) Swanek, 83, of Martins Ferry, OH died Tue., Dec. 13, 2005 at East Ohio Regional Hospital Long Term Care, Martins Ferry. She was born Jan. 2, 1922 in Martins Ferry a daughter of the late Joseph and Katherine (Lusczak) Kutys. She was the former bookkeeper and cashier for the former Betty Gay Dress Shop of Wheeling. Genevieve was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church and the Polish Alliance Club #2220 both of Martins Ferry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in by her husband Felix Swanek Feb. 2, 1991, and two brothers Joseph P. and Louis F. Kutys. Surviving are her brother John J. Kutys of Martins Ferry, a brother-in-law, two sisters-in-law, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great nephews, and a great great nephew. Friends will be received Thur. 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Friday, Dec. 16, 2005 at 10:00 AM at St. Marys Catholic Church, Martins Ferry with Rev. Thomas Magary officiating. Entombment will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Martins Ferry. Rosary devotions will be recited Thurs. at 3:00 PM followed by Wake services at 8:45 PM in the funeral home.
