BOZENSKE, George A., 77, formerly of Bridgeport, Ohio, died Saturday January 3, 2009 at his home in Wheeling, W.Va. He was born in Wheeling, on August 15, 1931, a son of the late Louis and Mary Catherine Ryan Bozenske. George was a member of the Bridgeport Church of God and a retired U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Korean and the Vietnam Wars. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven brothers and one sister. George is survived by three daughters: Hilda A. Cordery (Douglas) of Blaine, Ohio; Vera M. Roskovich (Joseph) of Lansing, Ohio; Georgia D. Vance (Chris) of Belmont, Ohio; two brothers: John Bozenske (Hilda) of McMechen, W.Va. and Edward Bozenske of Wheeling; two sisters: Virginia Salata (Gene) of Wheeling and Ruth Baggott (the late Charles) of Martins Ferry; Grandchildren: Rachel Hoffman; Cylie and Caylana Vance; a great-granddaughter, Solar Perry; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Tuesday 12 to 8 p.m. at the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, Ohio. Visitation will continue Wednesday January 7, 2009 at the Bridgeport Church of God, National Road, Bridgeport, from 9 until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Thomas Tennant, officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, where Military Honors will be provided by the Belmont VFW Council of the American Legion.
