George Allen Burress, Sr., 75, of Wheeling, WV died Tuesday, June 13th surrounded by family at Wheeling Hospital. He was born May 1, 1942, a son of the late William Seedie Burress and Rosella Smith and grew up in Beech Bottom. He was a retired from Windser Coal, enjoyed fishing, and cooking out with friends and family. He played softball for the Sugarhill gang for many years. He loved playing pool, playing horseshoes, music, and western movies. His best friends were Uncle Ray Roy and his dog Mooka. George has several brothers and sisters: Mildred, William, Bobby Dale, Francis, Gary, Midget, Helen, Nathaniel, Debbie, Tracey, Eugene, James, John "Tito," Billy, Patricia, Steve, Joseph. He is survived by sons; George Jr., Anton, Jamie; daughters, Vanessa, Anissa, Brandy, and Jennifer; and several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Friends and family will be received Friday, June 23, 2017 from 2-6pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd. Bridgeport, OH.
