George "Heck" Jenkins, 87, of Colerain, OH, went to be with his beloved wife on Valentines Day, Sunday February 14, 2016 at home. He was born in Blaine, Ohio on April 15, 1928, a son of the late Frank and Edith (Cook) Jenkins. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Ruth A. Winzenreid Jenkins; sisters: Dorothy DeVault, Leoma Kolb, Elsie Finney; brothers: Mervin, Frank, Gene and Jack Jenkins. Heck was a retired employee of Consol Energy; a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII and Korea and a lifelong member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Brookside. He is survived by two sons: Bryan (Amy) Jenkins, Brad "Buck" (Lisa) Jenkins both of Colerain; a sister Beverly Smith of Whittier, CA, grandchildren: Brynn Jenkins, Travis and Talyr Jenkins, Rikki and Nikki Allen, and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Thursday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, Ohio, where services will be held Friday February 19, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Karen Torrez officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove. Military Honors provided by Belmont County Veterans Association at the cemetery.
