George K. Kitson George K. Kitson, 86, of N. 8th Street, Martins Ferry, OH died Wed. Oct. 2,2002 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry, OH. He was born Dec. 3, 1915 in Martins Ferry, OH a son the late George C. and Nellie Lee Hastings Kitson. He was a retired employee of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Yorkville plant, a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church and a graduate of Linsly Institute in 1933. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Francis L. Kitson. Surviving are his wife Glenna A. Bowery Kitson, a son George Kitson and his wife Judy of Omaha, NE, three daughters Sharon Minder and her husband Stanley, Su Kitson, and Becki Baker and her husband Charlie all of Martins Ferry, six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Friends will be received Fri. 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Sat. at 11:00 AM with Fr. Thomas Magary officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove. Rosary devotion will be recited Fri. at 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
