George J. Koller, 80, of Martins Ferry, OH died Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at East Ohio Regional Hospital Long Term Care, Martins Ferry. He was born May 21, 1928 in Aetnaville, OH, a son of Teresa (Zuesy) Koller of St. Clairsville, OH and the late F. Barr Koller. George was a retired 42 year employee of the Martins Ferry Plant of the former Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. He was a member of the Alert Engine Co. of the Martins Ferry Fire Dept. and American Legion Post #38 of Martins Ferry. George was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his brother William Koller. Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife of 58 years, Marian J. (Hoge) Koller, a son George (Tina) Koller of Martins Ferry, a daughter Connie (Brad) Warren of Shadyside, OH, ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Friends will be received Friday, 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held, Saturday, May 2, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Minister Rod Kasler officiating. Burial follows in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry. Martins Ferry Fire Department will hold services Friday at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Belmont Co.
