Obituary

George W. Milbert George W. Milbert, 75, of Washington St., Martins Ferry, OH died Mon., May 20, 2002 at home. He was born Sept. 7, 1926 in Martins Ferry a son of Della Barcus Milbert and the late Louis "Red" Milbert. He was a retired machinist with the former Imperial Clevite, a member of the Polish National Alliance and the American Legion Post #38 both of Martins Ferry, Yorkville Post #4811 V.F.W., a veteran of the U.S. Navy WWII, and a Baptist. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a brother Robert Milbert. Surviving are his mother of St. Clairsville, his wife Georgia L. Hall Milbert, a son G. Mark Milbert and his wife Michelle of Martins Ferry, three daughters Shawn A. White of Bridgeport, Debbi L Suriano and her husband Joseph, Jr. of St. Clairsville, and Kim I. Train and her husband John, Jr. of Martins Ferry, a sister Shirley Probst and her husband Charles of Martins Ferry, six grandchildren; Paul B. White, III, Amanda L. White, Pria L Myers, Tiffani J. Suriano, Tara L. Train and J. Tyler Train, and a great granddaughter Shelby M. Myers. Friends will be received at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH Tue. 7-9 PM and Wed. 2-4 & 7-9 PM where services will be held Thur., May 23, 2002 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Dr. Bill N. Lawrence officiating. Burial follows in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry with full military graveside honors by the Belmont Co. Council of the V.F.W.
