George C. Swallie, 86, of Boston (Belmont County), Ohio passed away December 25, 2011 a Ross Heart Hospital Columbus, Ohio. He was born November 2, 1925, son of the late Pearley and Mary Stephen Swallie. George retired from Nichols Tree Services after several years of service, was a faithful member of Boston Church of Christ, and an avid sports fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Carpenter Swallie; brothers, John and Rodney Swallie; and sisters, Beulah Sall and Dorothy Copeland. He is survived by nieces, Joann Williamson and Tina Miller; nephews, Don, Bill, Tim, and Steve Swallie; sister-in-law, Florence Swallie of Woodsfield; and many cousins and friends. Family and friends may call, Wednesday 5 to 8 p.m., at Kelly Kemp Braido Funeral Homes, 702 East Main Street, Barnesville, Ohio where services will be conducted, Thursday 11 a.m. Officiating Val Roxby. Interment will follow at Christian Cemetery, Boston Ohio.
