Georgeanne Greenwell Georgeanne Edmundson Greenwell, 86, of Joysmith Circle, New Albany, OH formerly of Ivy Lane,Martins Ferry, OH died Fri., Jul. 25, 2003 at the home of her daughter. She was born Aug 14, 1916 in Bridgeport, OH a daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Hildebrand Edmundson. She was a member of the Vineyard Christian Fellowship Church, Wheeling, Opals of East Ohio Regional Hospital, Bridgeport High School Alumni, class of 1935, Martins Ferry Elks #895, Ladys of the Elks, a volunteer at East Ohio Regional Hospital for fourteen years, an avid bridge player and she played in many bridge groups. In additions to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Bernard T. Greenwell, a brother Orville Edmundson, two sisters Mary Ellen Robinson and June Wacker and a granddaughter Shelly Strigle. Surviving are two sons Patrick Greenwell and his wife Sandi of Sonora, CA and Michael Greenwell and his wife Kathy of Westerville, three daughters Mary Lee Ramsey and her husband James of New Albany, Gerri Strigle and her husband Richard of Lancaster and Bernie Simpkins and her husband John of Westerville, a brother Thomas Edmundson of Martins Ferry, a sister Florence Leach of Bridgeport and fourteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Friends will be received Mon. 4-8 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH. Friends will then be received Tues. from 10:00 AM until time of services at 11:00 AM at the Vineyard Christian Fellowship, 135 Waddells Run Rd., Wheeling, WV where Rev. John Razz will officiate.
