Georgette Rosalia Holstein, 96, of St. Clairsville, formerly of Lansing, passed away in her residence on Wednesday, January 17th, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 24, 1927, in Lansing, a daughter of the late Joseph and Angeline (Marshall) Halloy. She was a member of the Pleasant Valley Presbyterian Church, retired after 42 years of service from Marsh Wheeling Stogies. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, bird watching and sneaking treats to her grand dogs. Georgette's favorite thing of all though was spending time with her family, especially her great grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Ronald (Alice) Holstein; three grandchildren, Michael Holstein, Jeffery Holstein, and Dawn (Shawn) Schoolcraft; and six great grandchildren, Tyler, Logan, Evan, Mykenzie, Gavin and Olyvia; and a special friend, Rachelle.

Georgette was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Emil, and Joseph Halloy; four sisters, Helen Leluika, Amilia Robinson, Eloise Nagy and Philomina Halloy; and a great granddaughter, Julieanna Lee Harding.

Friends may call Saturday from 10 am – 12 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside. Funeral services will be Saturday at 12 noon with Pastor Darrell McVay officiating. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery.
