SALVADOR, Georgianna (Farmer), 76, of National Road, Belmont, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 13, 2009, after a 15 year struggle with pulmonary disease. She was born in Wellsburg, West Virginia on April 20, 1932 to the late John Reese Farmer and Texanna Grace (Darby) Farmer. She was graduated from Wellsburg High School in 1950, attended West Liberty, and at various times in her life, she worked as a secretary/payroll supervisor at Arkell-Smith Paper in Wellsburg, Hines Automotive and Scott College of Cosmetology in Wheeling and for the Department of Labor Senior Employment Program in Barnesville. She considered herself a lifelong member of Christ Episcopal Church in Wellsburg. In 1954, she married LT Ronald Salvador of Lansing, Ohio, and embarked on a 21 year career as a dedicated Army wife, Girl Scout leader, and attentive, nurturing mother to four children as she shepherded them across the United States and Europe to various assignments to include West Point and the Pentagon.She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Ronald; two daughters, Debra (Dan) Street of Fairfax, VA and Diane (Don) Hutchison of Brilliant, OH; two sons, Ronald Jr (Nancy) of Furlong, PA and Christopher (Kim) of Delaware, OH; a brother, Alonzo (Flora Jane) Farmer of New Martinsville, WV; nine nieces and nephews; six granddaughters and six grandsons.Visitations will be from 3-7 pm on Sunday at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, where services will be held Monday at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens in Pleasant Grove. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jefferson County Christian School at 2501 Commercial Avenue in Mingo Junction, OH 43938.
