Gerald A. Snyder, 80, of Bethesda, Ohio, died at his home, Wednesday, March 25, 2015. He was born July 28, 1934 in Bethesda, Ohio, son of the late Raymond E. Snyder and Myrtle L. McEndree Snyder.
He was retired from the Iron Workers Local 549 where he had worked as a foreman. Gerald enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter. He was a devoted father and grandfather, and the best "pap" ever. Gerald proudly served his country in the United States Army.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death May 30, 2012 by his wife of 58 years, Connie Snyder and brother, Harland Snyder.
Gerald is survived by his daughters, Debbie (Rusty) Kozsuch of Brandon, Florida, Sherri (Jerry) Pryor of Barnesville, Ohio; son, Jerry (Leonoir) Snyder of Jacobsburg, Ohio; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Maxine Kirk and brother, Leland (Brenda) Snyder all of Bethesda, Ohio.
Honoring Gerald's wishes, there will be no visitation. A private service will be conducted at the convenience of the family, with Pastor Bob Merritt officiating. Private interment will take place at Ebenezer Cemetery.
