Gertrude "Gert" Wukeson 94, of Bridgeport went to be with her husband Ray on June 3, 2013 at East Ohio Regional Hospital Martins Ferry surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born June 13, 1918 in Bridgeport, daughter of the late William and Fannie (Little) Ritz.A member of Kirkwood Presbyterian Church, Gert was a retired employee of the former Selby and Reed Drug Store in Bridgeport. She enjoyed tending to her flowers and plants along with embroidering.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Raymond R. Wukeson, and a sister Genevieve Jackson.Gert is survived by her son Raymond "Darry" Wukeson of Bridgeport, a daughter Kathy Fiutem and her husband Jerry of Colerain, her beloved grandson and great grandson Damon Wukeson of Bridgeport and his son Gavyn Wukeson.Our family would like to graciously thank the staff of East Ohio Regional Hospital Long Term Care (our adopted family) and third floor staff for their loving care and kindnesses.Friends are invited to a celebration of Gert's life on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 from 4-8 PM at Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Rd.
