Gizella H. (Dull) Brown, 90, of Martins Ferry, OH, died Sat. Jan., 1, 2005 at Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling, WV. She was born Oct. 19, 1914 in Martins Ferry a daughter of the late Steve M. and Julia (Margli) Dull. She was a life-long member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Martins Ferry. Gizella will be remembered for her devotion to God and her commitment to help those in need. She contributed generously to charitable causes and especially helped relatives in Europe during difficult times. Recently family and friends celebrated Gizella's 90th birthday, bringing her much joy. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Gilbert M. "Gib" Brown in 1997, a brother Joseph Dull and a sister Elizabeth Gocsik. Surviving are two sons G. Allan (Elizabeth) Brown of Triadelphia, WV, and William J. (Maja) Brown of Charlottesville, VA, a brother Ernest J. (Cleo) Dull of Martins Ferry, two sisters Nancy (Luther)Bowen and Kathleen Beavon both of Orange, CA., a sister-in-law Hazel Dull, five grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Friends will be received Wed. 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Thurs., Jan. 6, 2005 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Calvin Sigmon officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. John's Lutheran Church, 40 N. 4th St., Martins Ferry, OH, 43935.
